" The underlying theme in all my classes is devotion. I believe that the amount of happiness and freedom we experience in our lives is deeply linked to our ability to dedicate ourselves to something greater then our own personal gain. Through devotion we are able to reconnect with the Infinite wisdom that
dwells within the heart of each one of us."
In her classes, workshops and retreats, Sofi combines a deep understanding of sacred Yoga texts with creative asana sequencing, chanting, music and meditation to provide students with an enriching and heart-opening experience. Her goal is to clearly communicate the traditional ancient teachings of Yoga in a way that will assist students to understand and reflect upon them so that they can be used to enrich their daily lives and lead them to their True Nature of Oneness.
Sofi lives in Burlington, Vermont with her husband, daughter, son, and poodle.
Sofi teaches Yoga at her studio, Laughing River Yoga, in Burlington Vermont and travels nationally and internationally on a regular basis to teach workshops.
Thank you Sofi for the wonderful class -- I feel relaxed, peaceful, energized and complete after practicing. Your commentary on the sutra is exactly what I needed to hear - I will do my best to pass on the positive energy you helped me generate this past hour and a half! Keep the podcasts coming!

Life seems very busy for me lately. I can barely keep up, much less make it to a class. So thank you Sofi for sharing your classes with people like me. My mind feels steady and at peace. Now I can go face the world with a more positive outlook. I look forward to your next class!
