" The underlying theme in all my classes is devotion. I believe that the amount of happiness and freedom we experience in our lives is deeply linked to our ability to dedicate ourselves to something greater then our own personal gain. Through devotion we are able to reconnect with the Infinite wisdom that
dwells within the heart of each one of us."
In her classes, workshops and retreats, Sofi combines a deep understanding of sacred Yoga texts with creative asana sequencing, chanting, music and meditation to provide students with an enriching and heart-opening experience. Her goal is to clearly communicate the traditional ancient teachings of Yoga in a way that will assist students to understand and reflect upon them so that they can be used to enrich their daily lives and lead them to their True Nature of Oneness.
Sofi lives in Burlington, Vermont with her husband, daughter, son, and poodle.
Sofi teaches Yoga at her studio, Laughing River Yoga, in Burlington Vermont and travels nationally and internationally on a regular basis to teach workshops.

Wonderful session, Sofi. I have two requests -- can you turn the volume up on the background music just a wee bit more and can you create more 60-minute podcasts?

Sofi, thank you so much for creating and posting an hour class. As always, the class is fabulous, and an hour is perfect for the more hectic days. I have done this one several times and just realized this morning that you say at the beginning that you did not do this one live, which I assume means that you prepared this class and spent the hour recording it, just for a podcast, on your own time. What a gift you have given us!

Thank you. Really enjoyed this class, alone in front of the woodstove on a winter day in the NEK.
Louder background music would be great.

This is the first time i have taken one of your classes, but it certainly won't be my last. It was wonderful to be a part of a sanga over the internet! You have given such a tremendous resource to us all. Echo the comments re louder background music. The dharma talk was great. A new member of your subtle internet sangha!
